We are working with an established family run business based on the outskirts of Borough Green who are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join their team. The company is well established and has been operating for many years and offer solutions globally to leading industries including the retail, automotive, drinks and pharma.

The purpose of the Warehouse Assistant will be to perform the daily duties and requirements of the warehouse, including picking and packing customer orders, assisting with goods in, keeping stock tidy and levels in order, and general up-keeping of the warehouse area in accordance with the Health and Safety Laws.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Warehouse Assistant

- Complete orders in an efficient and effective manner so customers receive orders correctly, on time, well packaged and intact. This includes choosing the relevant labels for couriers
- Keep the warehouse in an orderly manner in conjunction with Health & Safety regulations
- Manage stock, including stock counts and regularly informing the Account Managers when stock levels are near or below the minimum requirement
- Manage the Goods In procedure successfully, including all the relevant paperwork and checking of the stock
- Use the correct lifting and handling techniques when dealing with moving stock
- Complete the Returns Procedure effectively using the correct locations, investigating the reason for the return and identifying next step
- Be fully conversant with the Warehouse IT, training will be provided
- Have a thorough understanding of client products
- Identify which packaging is required for orders
- Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills when required


Candidate Profile

- Previous warehouse experience
- Fork lift licence - desirable (in-house training provided for those without)
- Knowledge of online label systems
- Good attitude, willingness to learn
- Strong team player
- Driver preferred due to rural location
