SUPPORT WORKER – ASHFORD

39 hours per week

£16.00 per hour (£32,448 per annum) + weekend & Bank Holiday enhancement

A fantastic opportunity to work as a *Female Support Worker with an engaging 13-year-old girl based in Ashford. The family are looking for Support Workers who are caring, supportive and interactive whilst supporting her within the family home. 

Working as a Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing support on a 2-to-1 basis during daytime shifts and a 1-to-1 basis during the night shifts, within the family home with the requirement to participate in therapies, reflexology and hydrotherapy sessions with the Client.

Rates

Monday to Friday:  £16.00 per hour

Weekends:             £18.00 per hour

Bank Holidays:      2 x the weekday hourly rate

Shift Times

 

Shifts will be on a rota basis totalling 39 hours per week Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 6:30am - 19:30pm (13 hours per shift).

Full time or part time applications considered.

The Client

13-year-old girl who suffered a traumatic brain injury and as such has severe physical and cognitive impairments. She needs full support with her day-to-day personal care, nutrition, mobility, therapy and psychological needs.

She loves being outdoors, going out to café’s/shopping. She enjoys drama, loves animals and thoroughly enjoys her hydro sessions.

Our Client is encouraged to live as full and comfortable a life as possible, so social and recreational activities are vital, together with supporting with her communication and visual responses.

Person Specification


Must be female*;Fit, energetic and enthusiastic;Experience of working with clients with complex care needs would be an advantage;Experience of working as a Support Worker is essential;You may be asked to support the Client on family holidays;You will be required to attend hospital appointments, alongside a family member;Comfortable in water to participate in hydrotherapy;Comfortable with using basic IT skills and handling equipment to ensure the client can access the full range of resources which is crucial in her day-to-day life;Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
