Salary: £120.00 - £140.00 p/day

I am currently looking for nurture specialists to work on a supply or cover basis for schools across Swale and Medway. Nurture teaching means you can be primary or secondary trained and will have a specialism for or a passion teaching Year 7 or KS3 students. You will have a good understanding of SEND and the challenges posed to students, especially vulnerable students, in transitioning from primary to secondary school. My schools seek specialists in this area to minimise disruption to students in times of cover need.

To be considered for these roles you will need experience working with students in upper KS2 or in secondary schools and ideally in KS3. You will have a good understanding of SEND and have a broad understanding of the national curriculum in Maths, English and Humanities. You will be confident in behaviour management but have a caring and sensitive approach to behaviour sanctions.

In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

Ability to work with groups of students in Year 7, 8 and 9
Good working knowledge of SEND
Ability to follow policies including behaviour management and rewards
Flexibility in approach to classroom delivery and learning material
Willingness to embrace new technologies in the classroom
