Contract role with well known charity organisation offering Hospital Discharge Support

Your new company


Hays are working in partnership with a well-known charitable organisation to supply Assisted Discharge Care/Support Workers.

You will be working as part of a team that covers 3 main hospitals in East Kent: QEQM, Kent and Canterbury and William Harvey. As part of your role, you will be assisting patients who have been discharged from hospital and helping them settle in back at home. Within in any one day you can have anything from 1 - 6 visits within the working day.


Your new role

Duties can include
* Assisting with shopping
* Assisting with cleaning
* Delivering Medication
* Taking to appointments
* Safe delivery to and from the hospital

You will be provided your schedule from the Service Coordinators who liaise with the hospitals on a daily basis.

Working hours: 10am-6pm Monday - Friday

Contract: Until the end of March 2022, with possibility for extension


What you'll need to succeed

* No experience required
* Good people skills
* Able to think on your feet
* Reliable
* Experience working in Health and Social Care services would be ideal
* Driving 1+ years
* Full clean driving licence
* DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a DBS
