Hours

Rota - Full Time 35 Hours Per Week

Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm or 9:00 am - 2:00 pm



Salary

£17, 295.60 per annum (£9.50 ph)


Overall responsibility

To assist in the day to day duties within facilities, crate and gel production ensuring that quality standards and work schedules are adhered to.



• Carry out crate/gel room duties to the required standards. This will include:
o Lids preparation.
o Flats making.
o Crates making
o Crates labelling
o Sanitisation of crates.
o Gel preparation and storage.
o Checking orders
• Operate machinery in order to produce shipping crates.
• Assist in the completion stock control - includes weekly and monthly stock taking.
• Facilitate the preparation and distribution of transgel and crates.
• Complete relevant paperwork as per procedure.
• Maintain the upkeep of site truck.
• Play an active role in reviewing working practices, in order to add value and develop further the services on offer.
• Support, as and when requested, the Production Support Supervisor and Support and Logistics Team.
• Carry out regular reviews/evaluations of the production area to ensure high standards of performance and development, particularly in animal care and welfare.
• Participate in the development of individual and group training plans.
• Assist in keeping training records up-to-date.
• Assist with the maintenance of an efficient Quality Management System.
• Contribute to the achievement of Company goals.
• Ensure conformance with company, corporate and government policies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements/standards.
• Promote good work practices and enhance working relationships.
• Contribute to continuous improvement.
• Ensure that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to, liaising with the H&S officer where appropriate.
• Ensure a safe and tidy work area.
• Provide cover for other members of the Production Support team as and when necessary.
• Carry out other reasonable duties that may or may not be related to the job as requested by the Production Support Supervisor and Support and Logistics Team.
