Our client, a well-established, thriving company based in Rainham is looking to recruit an experienced Transport Manager to lead a team of 20 drivers and 2 administrative staff. The main aspect of the role will be to manage the day to day Transport Operations, and to lead and develop the team.

Duties will include:

* Managing both processes and people within the transport department
* Ensure that all documentation is recorded and updated on the system
* Providing training to staff
* Conducting performance reviews & disciplinary meetings where needed
* Ensure legal compliance for drivers and vehicles
* Prioritising tasks and ensuring deadlines are met
* Maintaining a positive working environment and customer service levels
* Working alongside other departments to ensuring smooth running of operations
* Implement new ideas and processes to make improvements where required

To be considered for this role you must have previous experience managing a transport department and be confident to manage both processes and people in a busy environment. A CPC is desirable but not essential.

This is a full-time, permanent role with the hours of Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm. Benefits include annual salary reviews, company bonus scheme and increasing annual leave days starting with 21 days (+ Bank Holidays).
