Are you seeking a new, exciting, worthwhile opportunity where you can help people who have experienced homelessness find a job?

Employment is the best route out of poverty and homelessness. As an employment advisor with the Community Integration team, you will work with the people we support, helping them find and secure employment opportunities.

This will be done via our award-winning employment scheme for people who have been homeless. The role involves helping people to improve their employment prospects, providing employment advice and building relationships with employers who work with (or want to work with) Porchlight.

The role requires:
-A proactive ‘can do’ approach
-Good communication and people skills
-Experience of building rapport and successful relationships with employers
-The ability to work with multiple clients at once
-Experience of delivering employment advice and support
-The ability to build strong relationships with business professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds
-Good organisation and time management skills
-A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).

Interview date: 15th December 2021
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required
