Finance Manager Job Maternity contract £30k-£35k based outskirts of Maidstone managing the AR & AP team.

Your new company
You will be working for an established organisation based on the outskirts of Maidstone. The Finance Manager position is a maternity contract for 14-15 months managing the companies Accounts Receivable and Payable team. They are looking for someone to start ASAP and will be fully office based.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the day to day supervision and line management responsibilities of the Sales Ledger Team and Purchase Ledger Team, develop AR and AP dashboard of KPI's and work closely with the Group Financial Controller to ensure transactions are performed in line with company policies. You will establish review processes within the teams and implement changes where appropriate to ensure efficiency. You will develop long term relationships by seeking opportunities to work with other departments, oversee testing of system upgrades to the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger. and support the Accountants with reconciliation queries on the ledgers. You will be responsible for Accounts Receivable tasks including ensuring collection of cash in a timely manner, management of aged debt and limit the company's exposure to bad debt and ensure all accounts operate within their credit limits as prescribed by our credit insurance company. You will be responsible for Accounts Payable tasks including ensuring all tasks are carried out correctly and on time including the processing of invoices and payment runs, oversee processing of weekly wages payroll information and ensure new supplier accounts are set up correctly ensuring compliance to internal procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need previous experience in managing a sizeable finance team including Accounts Payable & Receivable functions. You will have good communication skills with the ability to communicate well with other departments across the business. You will have good IT skills including experience of Word and Excel. You will be able to start immediately and commit to the full term of the contract.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary in the region of £30k - £35k DOE.
