Housing Led Coordinator (Accommodation Resettlement Worker)
£22,492 - £25,349 per annum

Porchlight
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person to join our Outreach team in partnership with Dover and Folkestone district Councils. You will be delivering a Housing Led Project to provide some of the most disadvantaged rough sleepers in Dover and Folkestone areas with the opportunity to secure stable accommodation and to support them to make positive changes in their lives. These individuals are likely to be entrenched street homeless people, have complex support needs and have a history of non-engagement. If you are proactive, have excellent communication and negotiation skills and want to support people to have a life beyond the streets, then please get in touch.
The principles:
- People have a right to a home
- Flexible support is provided for as long as is needed
- Housing and support are separated
- Individuals have choice and control
- An active engagement approach is used
- People are supported to identify their strengths, goals and aspirations
- A harm reduction approach is used
The role requires:
- A comprehensive understanding of the principles of the Housing First Model
- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- A compassionate approach and the ability to work with each client to set clear goals and boundaries to empower them on a person-centred - program of rehabilitation
Interview date: 16th June 2021
Contract: Fixed term for 1 year
Working Pattern: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility required
