Development Manager with experience of PHP, Linux, Javascript, MySQL environments required for a growing and successful eCommerce business. This is a new role and an exciting opportunity to lead / manage a team of 5-10 developers to drive the business to the next level, and beyond. Although the business is established they are looking at a fresh approach and it has that start up opportunity / feel. Their systems are inhouse built and this role will involve creating a structure and discipline to push the development team forward .

This role offers the opportunity for flexibility around remote working. However, you will also need to attend the Folkestone HQ fairly regularly for leadership team meetings etc. This company has big ambition and is investing heavily in growth and new technology. If you buy into their vision, and deliver against their expectations you will be at the early adoption stage and the rewards for growth could well be superb. Some prior technical hands-on experience as a software developer is essential. However, this role is to ensure the development team works as efficiently as possible, embedding best practice. You will scope out projects (budgets, timelines, deliverables, etc).
