About the role: Blue Whales Nursery is part of Dartford Primary Academy and is the first, essential step in our pupils’ educational careers. Our nursery provision, which caters for pupils in their pre-school year, is integral to our school community and works on implementing the EYFS Framework through the strategies of International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. We aspire to build an intrigue to learn more through our inquiry-based approach. We help our pupils to develop as successful, global citizens whilst exploring their interests and curiosities.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Nursery Nurse to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nursery Nurse to assist in the provision of the Nursery to the highest standards, ensuring that the best possible environment and care are provided for children. We are looking for an excellent practitioner who will be expected to provide high quality, flexible childcare for families.

This role is offered on a permanent, 36.25 hours per week (08:15 - 16:00) with a 30 minute lunch break, Term Time + 1 week. Pay progression will be reviewed yearly with opportunities for increases based on the successful candidates performance.

We are looking for someone demonstrates the following:

A minimum of a relevant NVQ Level 3
Previous, recent experience in a similar setting
Proven success in providing support for management of a similar provision
Being independent and able to work under pressure
Excellent communicator at all levels
Ability to organise own work and that of others, identify priorities and meet outcomes
Lead by example, demonstrating high levels of drive, enthusiasm and passion with proven ability to motivate others
Excellent written communication with ability to produce and evaluate reports
Up to date knowledge of EYFS framework and other relevant regulations
Knowledge of safeguarding children
