Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their successful IT support company based in Maidstone.

This role entails

Providing excellent customer service to clients
Develop longstanding relationships with clients
Providing solutions to complex technical problems
Working as part of a team to ensure that all client issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
Generating proposals for the sales team
Monitor data centre services' performance, availability and reliability. Resolve any predicted issues before they become critical.
Provide 3rd line complex technical support and troubleshooting to resolve issues escalated within the team or help desk

A successful candidate will have the following skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Confidence speaking to clients
High level knowledge of all common Microsoft server and desktop platforms and have proven experience with Office 365 - both configuration and deployment
Strong understanding of VPN technologies
Strong Cisco CLI skills (IOS, IOS XR and ASA)
Advanced networking skills for switching, routing and security
Experience with Linux - primarily around LAMP servers
Experience with VOIP solutions and supporting infrastructure

The salary for this role is up to £55,000 depending on experience
