Leigh Academies Trust has a truly rare and exciting opportunity available for a Primary Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated teaching team! This is a position that is ideal for teachers that have retired and who wish to return to the classroom, for NQTs at the early stages of their career and for Higher Level Teaching Assistants.

The main responsibility of the position is to supervise whole classes during the absence of a class teacher, delivering pre-planned work provided by the class teacher and ensuring that pupils engage in the learning activity/activities. The successful candidate will be required to respond to pupils general questions and provide feedback to the class teacher on a regular basis.

This role is specifically designed for cover work across the primary academies within the Trust. The daily rate will be £75.00 per day. From appointment to the end of term 2 a retainer of £10 per day will be paid if we are unable to place you within our primaries. The retainer will be paid from appointment until the end of Term 2. Please note that interviews may be conducted on a rolling basis, therefore, we strongly encourage early applications.
