Your new company
A role with a leading London & South East real estate surveying consultancy who are looking to strengthen their professional commercial management business, the post holder will be working from the company's South London office.

A national independent LLP surveying firm based in London and the South East are looking to strengthen their South London commercial Management business. The company currently have over 200 employees who offer a range of professional surveying services to landlords, occupiers, private investors, institutions and property companies.

This role is because of a promotion, so it will be a senior role within an already established team of 5, 4 of which are fee earners. They are not one of the big real estate consultancies, but this allows them to focus on their staff more, supporting them in career development both within the business and in their professional qualifications as well.

Your new role
Focusing on office and warehouse sectors, the main surveying duties are to undertake rent reviews and lease renewals, and to advise on L&T matters throughout Surrey and the Home Counties working closely with the Agency Team. Dependent on the candidate and their experience, the role may also include undertaking and/or overseeing valuations for bank lending, accounting and other purposes and/or Leasehold Reform valuations. Key responsibilities will include:

* To assist in the updating and improving of the company's in-house database which compiles comparable evidence and acts as a diary of forthcoming lease events.
* To become familiar with the Kel valuation systems and various valuation reporting templates (if applicable).
* To help the department identify and target potential future instructions.
* To attend both inter-company and external social and networking events to increase the individual's profile within the company and the image outside the company.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will need to hold MRICS status and ideally be a Registered Valuer. You will also need to be able to demonstrate an up to date knowledge of professional matters such as the RICS Red Book and Landlord and Tenant matters, demonstrate knowledge of potential new markets appropriate to their region / city, demonstrate knowledge of current legislation that affects the building, development, marketing and letting of commercial space, negotiation skills, IT literate with the skills necessary to generate new clients and jobs.
