We are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to work with individuals and small groups of students, ensuring that each child has the best possible access to all learning activities and is able to achieve positive behavioural outcomes. The post-holder will be required to take on caseloads of students within year groups/Phases and across the school to provide targeted intervention.

What you will need to succeed:

Committed to supporting pupils
5GCSEs including English and Maths at grades A-C or equivalent
Good standard of education, willingness to undertake professional development training
Excellent interpersonal skills
Effective communicator both orally and in writing
Effective ICT skills
Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills
Understanding of the educational system and current developments
Ability to motivate and to support learning
Additional skills and experience:

First Aid experience would be beneficial – we can offer training

New Horizons Children’s Academy opened in September 2014 with only four classes, we have now grown to deliver a fantastic education to over 600 children from the local community and we will be growing until 2020.
