We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and organised Submissions Officer within our Dover Office.

The Role:

• The primary focus of this role is to upload/check and submit documents received by Migrant Help to ensure they meet the standards
expected by the Authority.
• To upload and filter documents received by post/fax/email/self-serve to the correct department or submit directly to the authority.
• To check that applications that are received are in order and no mistakes are in the application or any required supporting documents are
missing.
• Contact clients and third-party agencies to confirm any outstanding documentation prior to submission.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work as part of the Migrant Help Submissions Team to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, policies and
procedures.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that KPI’s can be met and exceeded where possible.
• Ensure that any documents that do not meet the required standards are identified and processed in accordance with policy.
• Ensure that a professional and courteous service is provided to all clients, both internal and external.
• Keep full accurate and up-to-date records and complete case follow up within the requisite time scales and undertake any necessary
administrative tasks in relation to the work.

• Work within the specification of the contract with the Home Office, and on immigration related matters within the scope of the relevant Office
of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) accreditation level and service.
• Responsibility for distribution and receiving parcels, monitor stationery, consumables and office supplies and equipment.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned, including admin and operational tasks within the post holder’s competency
• Attend and participate in team briefs and meetings, participate in training and appraisal processes.

The Line Manager in consultation with the post holder will prioritise the above duties. The post holder may be asked to re-organise their work in order to help Migrant Help respond to changes in type of event or need. This would be done in a way consistent with the purpose of the post and in consultation with the post holder.

It is a requirement that staff who do not currently have an OISC Level 1 qualification undertake and maintain this professional qualification. This post is subject to a Counter-terrorism Check (CTC).

The applicant must:
• hold a valid, full current 10-year British passport; full EU passport and have indefinite leave to remain in the UK
• provide full UK address history for the last five years
• show continuous presence in the UK over the past three years
