Are you an experienced Finance Manager with prior experience of working within a school/academy environment, considering a new professional adventure? Dartford Primary Academy, part of Leigh Academies Trust, has the opportunity for a qualified and credible finance professional to join our team in this pivotal role. Our successful candidate will join us in post as soon as possible, offering a comprehensive financial service to the Principal from the off-set. Acting as the budgetary advisor to the Principal on all finance-related issues, you will be responsible for the financial management within the academy, ensuring that it complies with the requirements of the Trust’s financial policies and processes.

This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who is seeking progression and further responsibility in their career, and looking to join a highly successful multi-academy trust. Our ideal candidate will:

- have school experience (strongly desirable)
- have experience working with spreadsheets and computerised accounting software
- have experience in budgeting and forecasting

The working basis of this role and remuneration offered is 25 hours per week during Term Time plus two additional weeks inset (dates to be agreed annually in advance), with a full-time equivalent starting salary of £29,940; actual salary of £17,498 per annum the reflect the part-time working pattern. This is negotiable based on our successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.

Working for Dartford Primary Academy: Dartford Primary Academy is a three form entry primary school in Dartford, catering for children between the ages of three and eleven. We have an outstanding Nursery with spaces for 48 children from the age of three on our St Albans Road site and a special needs provision at our York Road site for children who have EHC plans with ASD or speech and language needs. This provision is a satellite of the Trust's outstanding specialist academy, Milestone, and benefits from their leadership and expertise.

Dartford Primary Academy is from the collaboration of St Albans Road Infant and Nursery School and York Road Junior Academy and as such has a newly formed, collaborative and effective leadership team who are supportive of all staff and committed to their on-going career development. Joining together the two schools has enabled us to offer a smooth transition for our children from the age of three to eleven and provided staff with enhanced opportunities to work across Key Stages, share good practice and draw on the experience/expertise found in a large staff.
