Student Success Project Officer

£27,830 to £32,236 per annum

As Student Success project Officer you will provide strategic support to Kent Law School (KLS) Student Success (EDI) project. With a high degree of personal initiative and responsibility. You will have excellent technical expertise in the area of data analysis and information in order to inform a range of strategies and decision-making processes within the school.

You will be highly numerate, primarily responsible for building data sets, identifying areas for analysis, recommending areas for monitoring and informing interventions, while providing management information to the school. In exercising these responsibilities you will work closely with the School’s Student Success Project Manager and other members of the Student Success Team. You will also frequently liaise with the Head of School, Director of Education, School Administration Manager, Student Support Manager and Academic Advisers across the School.

As Student Success Project Officer you will:

Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of Student Success plan activity, making recommendations to the school team for future development
Provide and interpret existing Student Success data, building ongoing intelligence through further data analysis for the School (and its disciplines) to increase understanding of student success attainment gaps
Utilise a variety of e-learning technologies to identify how the School can offer better early intervention
Support the School Student Success Project Manager on the communication of interventions, the project and its outcomes across the School and the University

To be successful in the role you will have/be:

Experience of quantitative and qualitative data analysis
Experience of project work including monitoring on progress and contributing to short and long-term projects
Ability to critically evaluate the success of interventions
Ability to research topics, gather, analyse and present data and information, and write reports which identify issues for resolution

This role is Fixed Term - Ends 31/07/2021.
