£22,078 - £23,429 (Actual term time only salary, all year round equivalent £24,799 - £26,317)

Permanent position

37.5 hours per week, Term-Time only* (38 weeks per year plus 5 days training totalling 39 weeks per year)

*You will be required to work up to a maximum of two weeks for the school’s short term break provision if required, for which an extra payment will be made.

Bradstow is a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. It is situated in 13 acres of parkland in Broadstairs, Kent. We seek to meet the needs of children and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties with associated behaviours that may be challenging using a Gentle Teach approach and engaging in reflective practice. We have achieved national recognition for our developments in Communication and Behaviour Management as well as having been awarded the Gold standard for the Investors in People accreditation.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high quality multi-resourced central library facility, enabling access to the area and to resources for young people and support staff across the school, and for leading Interactive Storytelling. In addition, under the direction of the Deputy Head teacher, the post holder will be responsible for supporting young people with Work Related Learning (WRL) and on work experience projects related to the Library.

For all posts we look for candidates who are mature, warm, creative and open to learning with a patient and caring attitude to deal sensitively with vulnerable children.
