Senior Commissioning Engineer

£41250 - £46250 per annum + £5,867.91 per annum car allowance

Working in the Construction team you will report to the Lead MEICA Engineer and be responsible for the MEICA site engineers and MEICA technical deliverables for commissioning on capital engineering projects. As the senior Commissioning engineer you will ensure that the MEICA elements of commissioning phase are correct, appropriate and of current best practice whilst ensuring compliance to the engineering standards and specifications. You will also be expected to challenge, innovate and evolve the engineering standards and specifications as technology evolves.



You will be expected to manage and prioritise your own workload as well as effectively managing the workload of your team. You will adhere to Health and Safety/CDM requirements actively identifying hazards and working towards mitigation or removal of the hazard. You will build and maintain relations with your immediate peers and internal customers.



It is essential that you have substantial experience of the following applications:



* Commissioning MEICA plant within the water industry with a minimum of 5 years experience;

* Experience of producing commissioning plans and associated test sheet documents;
* Excellent knowledge of water treatment processes and control philosophies
* Knowledge of PLC and telemetry systems;
* EICA systems with subsequent mechanical experience

You will ideally have gained substantial experience in the water industry or within the broader utilities, process and manufacturing sectors. It will be advantageous to have knowledge of the design of MEICA plant within the water industry.



To be considered for this role you will need the following skills and competencies:



* An ability to work as a team and exercise sound judgement in complex situations;
* Degree qualified in electrical engineering or related discipline or HNC/D with proven exceptional technical expertise;
* General computer literacy in MS Office;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
* Influential with excellent leadership capability and good supervisory skills;
* Full & clean UK driving licence;
* A good understanding of the legislation governing electrical safety/quality and ideally have been previously appointed as an Authorised Person at LV.

Although this role is office based you will be expected to travel to any location within our supply areas, as required, as part of the project(s) you or your team are working on e.g. pre-construction and construction phase elements such as commissioning meetings and commissioning progress review. You will also be expected to carry out regular feedback sessions with your direct reports, this may also require visits to their respective project sites.
