Application Form

Data Processing and Reporting Officer

£21,414 - £23,334

Canterbury, Kent

Canterbury Christ Church University

The Kent and Medway Progression Federation brings together Canterbury Christ Church University, the University for the Creative Arts, the University of Kent and over 40 schools, all working together to raise the aspirations and attainment of young people in Kent and Medway who may not otherwise consider higher education as a route to success. It is served by a small, friendly support team. We are seeking a Data Processing and Reporting Officer to join that team.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance, Communications and Operations Manager, the post holder will be responsible for co-ordinating data entry (managing sessional staff as required), processing data and producing standardised reports based on baseline questionnaires completed by students in KMPF schools. Baseline questionnaires collect personal data and attitudinal responses to Higher Education. This can be used to identify students who would benefit most from outreach activities and then demonstrate the impact of intervention as they progress through their school career and onwards to Higher Education. The post holder will liaise with colleagues in partner institutions, including Progression Mentors in partner schools to ensure the smooth delivery and receipt of baseline questionnaires and subsequent reports.

The Person

The post holder will have A-C passes in GCSE English and mathematics (or equivalent experience), with demonstrable experience of working with databases or CRMs and producing summaries or reports, with the ability to sort, filter and link data using either Microsoft Excel or Access. Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and collaborative working are essential to perform successfully in the role. An understanding of Higher Education and the issues surrounding widening participation would be advantageous for the post holder. Full training on the Higher Education Access Tracker database and standardised reports will be provided.
