Software Support Officer, ICT Department - EK Services

Main Duties:

We are seeking a Software Support Officer to join our extremely busy team and would consider applications from both established IT support staff as well as exceptional IT graduates who have undertaken a significant placement in industry. Software Support manages the technical requirements of more than 120 software systems across EK Services' three partner authorities (Canterbury, Dover and Thanet), as well as the requirements of EK Services itself, the Customer Services Contractor and the shared Housing and HR functions. In addition to having primary responsibility for a number of systems, you will also support additional systems during colleague absences.

Duties include the full range of tasks associated with major software systems to include client and supplier liaison relating to software implementation, upgrades, patches and fault resolution, server and underlying software patching where required as well as associated business analysis and project management.

Regular travel between sites is required so own transport would be an advantage.
This role is based at all 3 locations, Margate, Canterbury and Dover.

It is a requirement of this role that a successful basic disclosure and barring service check, is completed during your initial probationary period.
