Draughtsperson / BIM Co-ordinator

£22,269 - 25,482

Canterbury, Kent

University of Kent

Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your CAD/BIM career in a professional in-house Technical Services team at the University of Kent? We need an experienced AutoCAD operator to join our Estates team, providing drafting services and taking a key role in implementing BIM for the Department. Previous experience in setting up a BIM environment is desirable, although we will invest in training for the right candidate.

You will provide an expert service to internal clients, managing all drawings and plans for the Estates Department, including liaising with external providers to accept as-built drawings and plans in the required format. You will lead on setting up a BIM environment and provide BIM expertise to the Department to support the development of our services.

You will have significant experience of CAD drafting relating to construction, building services or the built environment, underpinned by qualifications in CAD and maybe BIM. You will be a confident professional, at ease communicating with a range of stakeholders and managing your work effectively to satisfy multiple priorities. You will be keen to continue to widen your knowledge and skillset, working collaboratively with colleagues to improve our services to our stakeholders.
