IT Officer
£25,000 (Dependent on experience)
Ashford, Kent
MAF International
Mission Aviation Fellowship International (MAF I) is a unique Christian charity using aircraft to deliver help and hope across the developing world. MAF transports patients, relief workers, produce, medical supplies and Christian workers in the world’s remotest regions and places of deepest human need – places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline. We operate in over 30 countries with over 130 planes.
Being a global organisation, sometimes working in very remote locations, our IT infrastructure is core to our ability to function safely and effectively. Our IT function covers a wide portfolio from programme development, development of IT infrastructure and customer support. We now have an opportunity for an experienced IT Officer to join our team.
The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the MAF IT services, ensuring that IT standards, policies and procedures are adhered to. Specifically the person will need to monitor the IT service desk and provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support; implementing upgrades and enhancements to systems; identifying areas of potential risk; carrying out preventative maintenance routines and providing advice and guidance to staff in the organisation.
Applications are invited from candidates with a proven track record in supporting remote users and experience of Windows and Linux servers, virtual machines and Active Directory. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of supporting Microsoft operating systems, Office 365 administration and networking protocols within the ITIL framework. A formal IT qualification such as MCSE would be desired.
