Barker Munro are seeking a dynamic Marine Broker to join an exceptional Insurance broker in West Malling.

We are looking for an individual to service, maintain and grow a portfolio of clients, so as to increase and develop the marine book of business, in accordance with agreed business plans.

The successful candidate will have a varied day including:

Developing and increasing existing business
Arranging initial meetings with clients and analysing their insurance requirements,
Marketing insurance requests to relevant underwriters and necessary negotiation.
Issuing, checking and sending of Policy Documentation
Developing and maintaining existing individual accounts at renewal.
Processing of mid term adjustments to the client’s policy including advising underwriters of relevant changes, processing of additional or return premiums and checking and sending of relevant endorsements.
Attend Exhibitions as and when required


The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with Hull & Machinery and PI policies.

Applicants should have an excellent awareness and understanding of the commercial insurance broking market coupled with a good level of technical knowledge.
